Occupational Exposome Week 2026

In 2026 a new OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSME WEEK series will bring together leading researchers to discuss occupational exposures and their impact on health across different working environments.

The series will cover four key themes, each addressing critical challenges and emerging research in occupational health:

Firefighters (18 May 2026 | 15:30-17:00) – exposure during interventions, health risks and strategies to improve protection
Heat stress (19 May 2026 | 15:30-17:00) – effects of occupational heat exposure and approaches to risk assessment and prevention
Shift workers (22 May 2026 | 15:30-17:00) – circadian disruption, exposome research and implications for long-term health
Waste workers (26 May 2026 | 15:30-17:00) – exposure to biological and chemical hazards in the circular economy

Each session will feature expert presentations and discussions, offering insights into exposure assessment, health effects and practical solutions to improve worker protection. The webinars are organised within the EU-funded EXPOSIM project, in collaboration with EXIMIOUS and EPHOR, supporting the translation of research into safer and healthier working environments.

Participants are invited to register for one or more sessions and engage with experts across disciplines.
